Time management is about making the most effective use of your time and working smarter, not harder. It requires planning, and then sticking to the plan.Which in turn requires discipline day in and day out.

Thomas A. Edison once said “Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing.”

According to the Pareto principle or 80/20 rule, 80 per cent of results come from 20 per cent of effort. That means that of all the things you do, 20 per cent is vital and 80 per cent doesn’t contribute much. Though he accounts for all lifestyles and schedules, Hal recommends taking 60 minutes, in the morning, on activities that bring peace and clarity to your life. The Life S.A.V.E.R.S. are Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, Scribing (Journaling).

He recommends the morning because the morning is a time when nothing has happened yet to ruin your day.  It’s also a time of far fewer distractions. Read more

12 week yearHere’s a fantastic book you should read immediately. It’s a called “The 12 Week Year” by Brian P. Moran. We were told about this gem by our business mentor Greg Atkins. We been having some fantastic results because we have been applying the simple ’12 week year’ strategies in our own lives and business.

The strategies in this book basically help you condense what you would do in 12 months into a 12 week period.
